This file is encrypted and machine-specific and can only be used to activate Cakewalk on the machine originally used to create the Activation request.crq file. Cakewalk saves an Activation request.crq file. Select the folder you want to save the activation request file to, then click Save.In Cakewalk, go to Help > Offline Activation > Export Activation Request to open the Save activation request dialog box.To use offline activation, follow these steps: Ensure that you tick the 'Show Friendly Names' tickbox to enable this.If Cakewalk is installed on a computer that is not connected to the internet, you can use offline activation as long as you have access to another computer that is connected to the internet. To avoid confusion, you can also rename inputs and outputs by double clicking on their name. You can enable Cakewalk to show mono outputs by ticking the 'Show Mono Outputs' option in the Edit > Preferences > Devices > Audio menu. For example, to use input 3 you would need to select the Left input 3 option in Cakewalk, and to record using input 4 you would need to select Right input 3. If you have a device with more than two inputs, the same logic applies. In this example, to select a mono input, you would need to select "Left Focusrite USB ASIO Input 1" to only use input 1 on the track, or select "Right Focusrite USB ASIO Input 1" to use input 2. In the above example, the input currently selected on the audio track is "Stereo Focusrite USB ASIO Input 1" which is actually representative of inputs 1 and 2 on the Focusrite device. As such, you will not be able to see each individual input and output when configuring your setup in the Edit > Preferences > Devices > Audio menu.īy default, you will be able to select each individual mono input when selecting the I/O for a particular track, though only stereo outputs. Cakewalk / Sonar lists inputs and outputs in stereo pairs.
